Mike is a member of the Rotary Club of Gold Coast, and a former member of the Rotary Club of North Ryde where he was Secretary and Treasurer. He has worked for the past year for ROMAC as Evaluation Consultant with a focus on ensuring ROMAC’s ongoing compliance with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission’s Governance Standards.

Mike’s first career was as an Army Officer, graduating from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1971. He specialised in logistics and procurement. After retiring from the Army in 1988, he had extensive experience in senior executive, operational-related positions. He worked for the Defence Housing Authority as General Manager Regional Operations, for The Home Care Service of NSW as Director Operations and then General Manager, and with the College of Law as General Manager of Shared Services. He also worked as a consultant in his wife’s consulting business, before fully retiring in 2019.

Mike is married to Maggie Alexander, who is also a member of the ROMAC team and the Rotary Club of Gold Coast. Mike has a son and two grandchildren. He enjoys travel experiences and cooking.
